This is a close-up of my previous picture Pyrite. I changed some Poser settings .. most notably I made the reflection maps spherical maps in stead of ray-traced the main result is that this took about 15 minutes to render, while the ray-traced one took 4 days.
It looks good enough but I must say I think the ray-traced one has a special glow to it that is lacking here. But considering the saving in time ah well

I think what I should have done for the original, was to use raytracing only on the reflective floor, and spherical maps everywhere else ... it took the most time to do the dragon itself, probably because of the bump-mapping combined with ray-tracing. The floor went relatively quickly compared to that
Anyway, lesson learned, will remember it (hopefully) next time I do something like this
